National Faith HIV Awareness Day

Join us for a presentation from AIDS Project Rhode Island as we learn about the history of HIV in America (particularly in Rhode Island), and how the events of the 80’s cemented the stigma we continue to face today in this work.

We will learn about the current “State of the State” when it comes to HIV, and will discuss pastoral care to people living with HIV.

Our presenter is David Martins, the Director of APRI. David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from Providence College, and a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Theology from Saint Joseph’s College in Maine.
