Welcome to the Rhode Island State Council of Churches web site!  We hope that you will find the information contained on the site both educational and useful.  The Council continues to play a major role in the greater Rhode Island community.  Whether it be assisting with disaster relief, advocating on behalf of our most vulnerable citizens, providing community leadership on issues such as homelessness and affordable energy or deploying chaplains to our colleges, we feel as if we are making a difference in our state.

Finally, the Council holds in very high esteem our relationships with the interfaith community of Rhode Island.  We convene an interfaith leaders group with whom we have worked on many projects over the past several years. Our vision is for a Rhode Island in which all faith communities come together to build understanding and work for peace and justice.  We hope and pray you will join us in our efforts.
